About the Role

Healthcare Assistant Duties

• Provide person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Support residents with mobility using appropriate equipment

• Assist with meals and hydration, including feeding where required

• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being

• Promote dignity, respect, independence, and choice at all times

• Maintain accurate care records in line with company policies and CQC standards

• Work collaboratively with nurses, senior carers, and the wider team

Housekeeping Duties

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the care home

• Clean resident bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff areas

• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times

• Manage laundry, including residents’ clothing and bedding

• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and safely stored

• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
