Housekeeper
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team, ensuring that care home environments remain clean, safe, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
The role involves maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the care home, supporting infection control procedures, and contributing to the overall well-being of residents.
About the Role
1. Cleaning & Hygiene

Carry out daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff facilities.

Ensure infection control and cross-contamination procedures are followed at all times.

Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, in line with training and health & safety guidelines.
2. Laundry & Linen Services
-
Manage laundry, including residents’ clothing, bedding, and towels.

Ensure all laundry is washed, dried, ironed, and returned in a timely manner.
3. Stock & Supplies
-
Monitor cleaning supplies and report low stock levels.

Safely store and handle cleaning products in line with COSHH regulations.
4. Team Support

Work alongside care staff to ensure residents’ rooms are kept tidy and comfortable.

Respond promptly to cleaning requests to support the smooth running of the care home.
Qualifications & Experience Required:

Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic assistant experience preferred (training will be provided).

Knowledge of infection control and health & safety practices an advantage.

COSHH awareness training desirable.
