Health Care Assistant
We are seeking caring, reliable, and hardworking Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our growing team, supporting service users in care homes across the Hampshire area.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, assisting with daily living tasks, supporting independence, and ensuring dignity and comfort at all times. This role is ideal for someone with a compassionate nature, flexibility, and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
About the Role
1. Personal Care Assistance

Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Assist with mobility, safe transfers, and the use of mobility aids.
2. Health & Well-Being Support
-
Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition.

Assist with medication administration or reminders under supervision and according to care plans.
3. Mealtime & Nutrition Support
-
Serve meals and assist residents during mealtimes where required.
-
Ensure residents remain hydrated and support any specific dietary needs.
4. Companionship & Social Interaction
-
Provide emotional support and companionship.
-
Encourage participation in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
5. Household & Care Home Support
-
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.

Assist with light duties such as laundry, tidying, and organisation.
6. Documentation & Communication
-
Accurately record care provided and any observations.
-
Report concerns or incidents promptly to the senior care team.
7. Emergency Response
-
Act quickly and appropriately in emergencies, including contacting senior staff or emergency services if necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Experience in a care or healthcare role (residential, nursing home, or domiciliary care) is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided.

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.

Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety practices is an advantage.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
